1st PATTAYA INTERNATIONAL MULTIHULL
FESTIVAL
Royal Varuna Yacht Club

Varuna is located approx 1.5KM south of the resort town of Pattaya in the Gulf of Thailand. The sailing conditions feature  tropical breezes and warm seas at all times of the year.

The Cat week in February 2012 will allow competitors  to prepare for the next European sailing season while experiencing great Thai hospitality!

Club Members

The members of the Club are from many regions of the world and have a common interest in dinghy and catamaran sailing. At weekends the Club is busy with families of many nationalities who travel down from Bangkok to sail and participate in racing or cruising.

During the northern winter months there are also many members, mainly from Europe, who “retire” to the Pattaya/Jomtien area to take advantage of the warm, dry (November-March) climate and participate in the sailing activities. Catamaran races are organized most weekends – see the Club web site calendar.

Tourist Activities

There are also many nearby family activities  (e.g. cable water skiing, diving, fishing, water park, go-karting, elephant rides etc.)  and temples and museums to visit.

Golf is especially popular with ten 18 or 27 hole courses within one hour’s drive of the Club. A challenging 9 hole par 3 course is ten minutes away.

There is a friendly bridge club (www.pattayabridge.com) that plays duplicate 3 days/week, currently based at the Pattaya Bowls Club.
